There’s something wrong with our Christianity when verse 11 is the one that we hang our hats on in Jeremiah chapter 29 rather than verse 13. It’s the difference between a Christianity that is looking upward to God vs. one that is looking outward to the concerns of this life. It’s the difference between humbly submitting ourselves to God’s will vs. asking Him to join us in carrying out our will.
