The things I like best about parliamentary forms of government are (1) the ability to have a no-confidence vote without having to wait until the next regularly-scheduled election, (2) the ability for minority parties to have a role other than spoiler, and (3) the fact that there are much short periods in which to campaign!

This is mostly based on my knowledge of European governments, so it may not be the same in Australia. My apologies if I got something wrong.

And, of course, if taken to the extreme, items one and two can lead to chaos - thinking of you, Italy!
