The photo of the reader dropping their ballot in the ballot drop box in OR really hit home. NC does not allow ballot drop boxes and requires an affidavit from a close family before you can drop off a ballot at the county board of elections or an early voting site. All because of a ballot harvesting scandal in 2018 perpetrated by an operative employed by a GOP candidate for the US House seat in my then district.

Last night I was on a NC election protection zoom and they kicked off the meeting by announcing that the GOP-controlled General Assembly has introduced a bill to reduce early voting from 17 days to 10 days!
