There are many reasons why lower-propensity voters do not vote, but one of the most pernicious is that they do not have transportation and they can't afford to spend money on a rideshare. This is exacerbated by GOP-controlled states who may choose polling locations that are nowhere near public transportation in minority neighborhoods or college campuses or who change the polling place at the last minute.

This morning, I attended an excellent zoom presentation by the founder of Rideshare 2 Vote (rideshare2vote.com). They have both a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) entity, Rideshare2Vote Aware, (for which donations are tax deductible) and a partisan 501(c)(4) entity, Rideshare2Vote.
