I think you offer a very tame picture of what a fascist AMERICA would look like. I’m pretty sure things would be emphatically, noticeably different for many, like the LGBTQ+ population for one. Under a MAGA fascist regime they would suffer terrible losses of basic rights and be forced back into hiding if they don’t want to be disappeared. Completely agree here with your assessment, with one caveat: I think Thom did qualify that straight, White men who would be the ones least able to discern a difference. Everything else you describe, and more, is likely under an Ameri-fascist government. Most terrifying is that our high-GDP, nuclear-armed country would be in a position to pressure other countries we deal with to operate similarly, with a bellicose posture emboldened by radioactive warheads.
