SomeNYDude (he/him) collaborated with The Spy Analyst, who guest wrote the piece this quote is excerpted from. It is a thorough exploration of the intelligence and strategic mistakes made by the US in their Israeli coordinated attacks on Iran, and it's well worth your time.
However, I excepted this particular quote because collecting paid subscriptions is a persistent problem for Substack writers in Africa, as well as in and around Asia, and goes back for many years. Stripe, the payment system Substack uses for remittance, doesn't operate in Africa or in lots of places in Asia. African and Asian writers have appealed to Substack for years to remedy this, to no avail.
Please heart or restack this to raise its visibility.
Not only is Substack Team snubbing fellow writers abroad, they're forgoing paid subscription growth in regions with literally billions of potential readers. It's not only myopically centered on western countries, they're leaving untold sums of potential overseas subscription revenue untapped. Fixing this seems like a clear win-win to me.
