The “fiction on Substack” question is always there and more lit mags have stepped in to be the curators and bridge the supposed quality gap that comes with such ease of entry.

But I have been following some of these earliest Substack lit publications for quite some time, and when they post the accepted fiction, there doesn’t seem to be more discourse or engagement on these pieces than any other fiction posted on Substack.

Curious to see what happens with the more recent lit ‘stacks to pop up.

Are we finally going to see the clamor for “WHERE IS THE FICTION” in all the pleading Notes come realized with enthusiasm? Or does everyone want to be accepted and no one want to read?
