Make money doing the work you believe in
Quick example of what we’ll do here: In last night’s episode (youtu.be/q7dNzfZ7b7E), we talked about three things that the Tigers need to address before the season opener at LSU: Dictating a physical tone of play, eradicating fundamental mistakes, and controlling the run game both offensively and defensively.
One topic we ran out of time for: The likelihood that this team, from head coach Dabo Swinney down to the reserve long snapper and all staff/players in between, needs to do some soul-searching about whether or not their self-belief and their faith in one another is getting in the way of honestly appraising whether or not they are honing the skills that it takes to be an ACC champion and a national championship contender.
Positivity and loyalty have served as a tremendous foundation for the Clemson football program for years, and carried it to heights that few teams have been able to reach. But ask any chef: A balance of sugar and salt is key.
I won’t go too far down this rabbit hole since we might go deeper about this it in a future episode.
But that’s just one example of the many things that Bill and Daniel find themselves texting each other about, once the recording has stopped and the editing has begun.
There’s always something else to say. And by subscribing to our new Substack, you’ll get thoughts like these — clearly not from the cutting-room floor, better than outtakes for sure.
Go Tigers!
