This vile lobbying lovefest called ‘Better in Our Backyard’ starred parasites Reps Pete Stauber and Tom Tiffany who were promoting two foreign companies' plans to poison the Great Lakes and destroy the Boundary Waters. Both of these companies are trespassing on or threatening Indigenous treaty land. Both of these reps are selling out water and wilderness for profits.

While the panelists kept talking about their "God-given right" to Minnesota land as they feast on steak, security dragged out our activists. But the message had landed: These reps don't serve constituents. They serve oil. They serve CEOs. They serve foreign mining companies.

The stakes are enormous: Line 5 is a Canadian pipeline threatening 20% of the world's surface freshwater. Twin Metals is a Chilean mining company targeting the Boundary Waters. Decisions on both projects are imminent.

These vultures thought they could feast in peace while selling out the Great Lakes. THEY WERE WRONG.
