Make money doing the work you believe in
A post juxtaposing the visuals of celebrations at the Biden White House and the Trump White House. One is rainbow flags and the other is American flags and motocross bikes/UFC. The poster thinks there’s a distinction and that one stands for civilization and the other doesn’t: “[Trump’s] ceremony serves as both a reflection on America’s past and a celebration of its continuing legacy.”
That both versions would have horrified earlier generations of Americans (let alone the Founders) is lost on this poster. Trump’s celebration reeked of late Roman spectacle, but that is not detected, because those in terminal decline lose the categories to even sense their own decline. This is why decline is not reversible. Benchmarks of what even constitutes civilization progressively contract, and each contraction becomes normalized.
