The city sounds very very narrow- minded in their thinking... Where I live I planted native huckleberries ... and they are more drought resistant than the commercial huckleberries ... And I was able to transplant large specimens.And thebushes nourish birds and deer and humansl The indigenous people took full advantage of the berries - as a dye and, of course, to eat. I did basketry for several years... It's always the process of any art or craft that can be transforming or even meditative...
