I recently caught myself rewriting a perfectly good sentence because it had an em-dash in it. Same for parallelism and lists of three.

It’s ironic: when we change our writing to avoid AI tells, we’re letting the machine determine how we write, just as surely as if we’d let AI write for us.

I can't be the only one doing this. What have you caught yourself changing?
