The app for independent voices

I came across the phrase ‘ruin dwellers’, coined by historian Jake Smit (in his book of the same title), to describe how people adapt to crumbling societal infrastructure by living at the margins of established systems. We wove this into an analysis of how so-called ‘snowflake’ young people are, in fact, pointing to ways people are beginning to live differently in response to massively changing conditions.
