I have a rule about not signal boosting things I’m not sure I understand in depth, or when I have not read the source material, so if you’re going to yell at me for not posting more stuff that agrees with your political perspective, I’m going to direct you to a Substack like NewsGuard’s Reality Check, which is endlessly interesting.

I spent nearly two decades doing deep dives into creator rights activism at huge personal and professional cost, spent years getting called the c-word from every corner of the political spectrum for being - well, pretty much old school classical liberal, I guess - and I’m pretty sure this cartoonist’s tweets/skeets/posts didn’t change much.

My hard stand against copyright piracy got me years of online harassment. And that was super not-fun.

Now that I am proven right - i.e., that it was all a long, slow copyright grab which is why we are where we are with AI today - some of my peeps who owe me an apology are pretty quiet now.

I forgive you, but dudes.
