During Tom Brady’s rookie season, he found himself alone in a room with his quarterback coach’s notebook. Like any of us would do, Brady opened it up and found an evaluation of himself.

As Brady described it in the 2001 Patriots America’s Game documentary, it said, “Slow on reads. Slow to react. Doesn’t deliver the ball on time.

Derrick Harmon is an interesting and unique prospect, who could fit very well with what the Chiefs need on the DL.

I wrote about him in Part 2 of “know your Chiefs draft crush.”

Today at Into the Fountains, I focused on Cole Ragans and his exceptional start against the Guardians. Another double-digit strikeout performance and he pitched deeper into a game than he ever had before. Dude. Ace.

The arm strength wouldn’t be an issue if Sanders played with great timing. But he really didn’t show the consistent ability to do so at Colorado.

I find the overwhelming negativity toward Nico Iamaleava interesting. Not wrong, but just a complete 180 from what we’re used to seeing in these matters. What do you think?

No one is defending Nico Iamaleava’s move. What’s changed? (Well, a lot.)

This is easily one of the most insightful conversations we've had with a coach about the quarterback position. David Yost is such a smart man, and willing to share.

On everything Jordan Love, Shedeur Sanders and why you need to give your QB1 a green light:

This is why it is so so important for your TE to be able to handle the end on the same side without the running start of a split.

Toledo's 4-2-5 Under fitting Ohio's Slice Jet (give).

Weak rotation to give extra numbers away from the TE.

If the TE isn't a major receiving threat, defenses can use him as a leverage indicator.

10 years ago, everything was predicated on the RB; now, it's back to the TE.

Shedeur Sanders is comparable to Geno Smith in terms of those key attributes like timing, anticipation, and decision-making. But Smith is far more gifted as a thrower and can get away with more.

Sanders needs to model his game after someone like Brock Purdy. They have more comparable physical skills, but Purdy is far ahead in terms of tim…

Dortmund barely put a foot wrong tonight. Aside from the own goal, they played Barca off the park. A performance to be proud of. Just not enough to overcome a nightmare in Spain. They leave the competition with their heads held high.

The best player for Dortmund? Probably Flick’s high line. But after that it was undoubtedly Adeyemi. Guirassy got the goals, but Adeyemi was everywhere. Constantly running at Barca’s defence, constantly closing down. Led from the front. Groß also tremendous.

Clint as your title says, Unspoken Stories, oh to have known the backstory to so many of them. Now I would have a stern word with those 2 lads @ 3:00 for wearing those scream in your face paisley print shirts 😮 but in the 70/80's it was high fashion for the young man about town. On a sobering note unless we archive our personal stories/ephemera, either written/oral it will all be lost as we draw our last breath. Let's not get too deep into this quagmire 😎 Cheers DougT 🇫🇴

So...were you rocking paisley back in the day? I think my mom bought me a paisley tie (I never wore). As for getting our photos/stories in order, I know all too well how fragile those kind of memories can be. Let's stay out of that bog/swamp.
