I think some folks need to get better about saying no to financially/professionally lucrative deals that are actually bad for society and for your soul. Like, if you’re already making a living wage do you really need to also be promoting meta/amazon/etc? Idk! I’ve declined opportunities that would’ve been professionally great for me because associating directly with certain companies would’ve greatly embarrassed me and cast doubt on the strength of my own principles/convictions. I’m human and I get it, but man. Apologies for the earnestness but idk what we’re doing here.
