I've been focused as a people manager and have done 0 coding since I started (large team, high needs, critical projects, etc) in my teams space. After reading this article, I am going to give it a try over the next few months and set aside some time to fire up the IDE, and see what I can learn by diving into some non-critical areas! Will it be a waste of time, or will I learn things that help me be a better leader? We shall see!
