The most important thing to know is that your Cognitive Simulator has to be completely personal. It’s exactly like building a Sovereign Synthesizer—you have to construct it out of the cultural shards that actually mean something to you. For me, the architecture was built out of deep-lore, 'Moe' anime (Higurashi, Gurren Lagann) because the trope of 'hidden psychological horror behind a cute aesthetic' forced my brain to actively investigate reality instead of passively scrolling. But a Cognitive Simulator is uniquely tailored to the user. For you, it might be the dense political lore of Frank Herbert's Dune, the high-trust strategy of an MMORPG raid, or even building physical models for tabletop gaming. The only rule is that it must require High Friction, Deep Lore, or High Trust. You have to find the specific fictional universe whose rules demand your absolute attention. When you find the one that pulls you out of the passive doomscroll, you've found your forge.
