Understand how to set up Claude for Investing :

1. Select Claude Opus 4.6 from the model picker. Most advanced model: better reasoning, catches contradictions, and produces structured output.

2. Always turn on Extended Thinking via "Search and tools" (lower left). Claude reasons step-by-step before responding. No web access, but dramatically better on valuations, multi-step analysis, and catching errors.

3. Enable Research mode : click "Research" (bottom left, turns blue). Web Search must be on. Paid plan required. Claude searches the web dozens to hundreds of times, reads full articles, and delivers a cited report in 5–45 minutes. Use for industry deep dives, and management track records for exemple.

4. Use Projects for your own documents. Upload 10-Ks, transcripts, and filings into a persistent workspace with custom instructions. Claude references them across all conversations in that project.

Hallucination control in projects: Claude still blends general knowledge with your documents. Use the "quote-first" method : instruct Claude to produce the exact quote from your document before making any claim. No quote, discard the claim.
