Not to take anything away from you, but what was common in your great grand parents time is all but non-existent now. So ANYTHING that was passed down through your grand parents and parents is like a gold bar today by comparison, to the droolers that your surrounded by.

Critical thinking is the other thing that goes hand in hand with common sense. I've had the same reactions from people you have been awed, about the simplest of things - trouble shooting - where you would have thought I opened a portal to another dimension and produced a unicorn for them.

This is one of the reason why I have little hope for our survival past another 200 years.
