This third author who blurbed ALAN OPTS OUT is a biggie!
Nathan Hill is one of my favorite writers—with each new book of his, I’m newly inspired to reach for a humor that is true and thought-provoking without being mean. I crossed my fingers when I wrote Nathan—I have never met him in person, though I interviewed him for “Before and After the Book Deal,” and I know he has a busy teaching schedule in addition to his writing. Well! I was already a Nathan Hill stan. I’m even more so, now!
“Courtney Maum exposes how much of our lives—and our bank accounts—we sacrifice just to fit in. When a husband decides to downsize his life just as his wife races to supersize hers, their marriage becomes a referendum on the American obsession with more. A brilliant, hilarious reminder that what we already have might just be enough.”
Thank you so much Nathan. Thank you for these generous words about my own book, and all the words that you write, too.
