I’m so sorry to hear that, Phil. Dementia is a terrible thing. In our case, we watched Barb slip away from us piece by piece. She became combative and occasionally violent until we were able to get her on medications that helped to calm her and ease the paranoia. From there, it was a matter of not if but when.
