Because I believe in preserving the relationship with my child above all and they only make a big deal out of that. They know how I feel about other things like binders, hormones, and JK Rowling (haha). So if this is the one thing that keeps them from shutting me out of their life, its worth it. Giving them ammunition to brand me as a horrible transphobe who disrespects their pronouns will just drive my kid further into the the hands of the trans-agenda. Plus, I am all for a gender neutral pronoun if we find a good one that anyone can use.
