ok one thing i’ve been thinking about that i would like to explore but feel really out of my depth in is the way LLMs and AI seem to be implying something mysterious about language and reality, like not that the tools/methods themselves are conscious or special, but that they are pointing to some latent space that we haven’t even known to measure. what is it that they’re pointing at? what are the implications, what’s the shape of that Thing?
