The many national parks in the USA created under Roosevelt were meant to expropriate Native tribes away from their land. Yellowstone national park, for example, is the ancestral home to the Shoshone, with several other tribes also using the location throughout the year for hunting or travelling. Later, other settlers did the same thing in Palestine.
