Today’s Santa Fe New Mexican column builds on my my most recent Substack essay and one thing that’s cool is when Substack can be the basis for mainstream media pieces as well:

This is my fourth appearance in the paper since September. My recent work has focused on Santa Fe and northern New Mexico through housing, land use, planning, and the realities of how places actually change.

This piece looks at Tierra Contenta and suggests that the path to affordability—process, delay, and competing expectations—can itself become the problem.
