A normal person can say “I don’t really want kids,” or even “I’m afraid of the level of responsibility that kids bring and don’t feel ready.” An antinatalist feels the same way, but lacks the courage to say that outright. So they build an armor of moral grandstanding to “hide” their fear while expressing it in a roundabout way.
