Hi everyone! This community has been growing recently, so I thought I’d share a quick introduction for all of you who’ve subscribed to The Culture Dump (thank you so much!).

I’m Rebecca, a PhD student at the University of Cambridge, awaiting my viva. My research focuses on 16th and 18th century Italian and British art, with a particular interest in Michelangelo and William Blake. If you’re curious about my academic work, you can read it here:

On Substack, I post weekly essays: exhibition reviews, curated reading lists, art theory, and posts about the history of visual culture. My goal is to make the London art scene accessible to those who can’t attend exhibitions and to make academic art history digestible — without oversimplifying it!
