The app for independent voices

They shouted Hosanna like it would last forever.

They laid down palms, cloaks, their pride. They treated Jesus Christ like a king finally returning to claim his throne.

But they didn’t understand what kind of king He was. He rode in not on a war horse, but on a borrowed donkey.

Not to conquer Rome. To walk straight into death.

That same crowd, loud with praise, would fall silent in days. Some would disappear. Some would watch. Some would join the voices that shouted for His execution.

Palm Sunday is more than just a celebration.

It is a warning of how quickly devotion turns when it costs something.

How easily we praise what we don’t yet understand.

And how often we welcome truth… only to reject it the moment it demands sacrifice.

Happy Palm Sunday!
