I just reached 20,000 words in my book manuscript, and goodness gracious, the Lord deserves the glory for every single one of them.

I don’t think the Enemy wants women to open a book about how God redeems depression for their good and gives glorious gifts in the dark because I have never wrestled with words like this before. Every sentence is an exercise in utter dependence on the Lord.

Each day, I tell him, “I need your words.” How gracious he has been to give them. This work is covered in prayer—page by page, line by line, word by word. Here at this milestone, would you pray with me?

My heart is that the women who hold this book would find glory in their darkest valley because Jesus is there. That they would find healing in his presence and that, until then, he would be their song in the night.

Would you let it be so, Father?
