A teacher messaged me recently asking something I hear a lot.
'How do I approach a Year 8 I think is being groomed online, when they won't admit anything is wrong?'
There's no perfect script. But there are things that help, particularly for autistic or anxious young people who may struggle to verbalise what's happening.
Would it be useful if I put together a short guide specifically for teachers and DSLs on this? Practical conversation starters, escalation pathways, and what to document.
