Hey, folks - just wanted to put out one last call for the class Lorri and I are doing on Friday. It’s in the Inner Alchemy series, and this time we’re focusing on Air.
In inner alchemy, the work of Air is the purification and sharpening of the mind. Not through acquiring more thoughts, but by learning to see thoughts as passing weather in the vastness of awareness. Air work trains the intellect to become precise, steady, and disciplined rather than scattered or reactive. We do this because an untrained mind is like a gust of wind that blows us off course at the slightest provocation, while a refined mind becomes a blade: clear, discerning, and capable of cutting through illusion. Practices like mindful breathing, presence, study, observation, and moment-to-moment awareness cultivate this element. The goal isn’t to inflate the intellect, but to purify it…turning the mind from a source of confusion into a tool of liberation, so that awareness can move through it unobstructed.
