A 4-day weekend is a nap. A breather. It is not a long-term solution to burnout. Neither is that third Starbucks run for jet fuel.
I spent years believing that holidays and short vacations would make up for a pace that was slowly destroying me. They didn't. Burnout doesn't respond to naps. It responds to boundaries.
I set mine too late. I'm telling you so you don't have to.
