The immensely talented singer-songwriter Orville Stoeber passed away earlier this week. I first discovered his discography when I learned that he’d written music for (and strummed a guitar in) the classic 1973 baseball film Bang the Drum Slowly — a discovery which led to a sweet decade-plus friendship.
