More than 50% of wishlists for Phantom Blade 0 come from internaltional markets (outside China), S-Game CEO revealed.

soulframe (CEO's nickname) highlighted that besides Europe and NA, a lot of interest comes from Brazil, Turkey and the Middle-East.

The studio revealed back in December that Phantom Blade Zero has more than 1 Million wishlists.

The game is expected by many (me included) to be the next biggest AAA Chinese game to release since Black Myth Wukong.

⚠️While whishlists alone are not necessarily indicative of a game's post-launch performance, knowing that more than 50% come from international markets does gives us an idea that Phantom Blade is/will be of interest to gamers globally.

Personally, I think it will be a hit, commercially and critically.

🟦In a recent online post, the CEO of S-Game and creative diretor of the game (Liang Qiwei -梁其伟, aka soulframe), revealed more insights about the game's development:

- No new trailer will be revealed for the Chinese New Year period. Producing gameplay trailers takes away attention/resources from core development; the studio wants to focus on finishing the game.

- The CEO is concerned that high-intensity combat trailers may be confusing consumers: gamers might think it's a soulslike, which the studio head insists it's not.

- Future updates will focus on simpler marketing materials, text-based about story and game systems (up until new pre-launch trailers closer to release).

💡The main message is that the studio wants to focus on development and polishing and avoid distractions. Pretty much.
