When I went downstairs to start the New Year’s breakfast, I checked in on my news feeds. I saw images of the Pentagon, the World Trade Center and other sites in New York struck by lightning. Given our AI soaked media, I didn’t immediately trust the images. They were just too on the nose. Once I verified it from several news sources, I saw that MAGA world commentators read the lightning as a sign of God’s blessing of the incoming oligarchy. I had the opposite reaction. This is The Tower from the Tarot. In a traditional read (think the Rider-Waite-Smith deck) it is a portent of impending disaster. The sudden lightning strike topples existing structures.
