My series ‘Football Artefacts’ is slowly taking shape.

I’m treating interesting pieces of football as cultural artefacts and analysing what they are, how they work and looking at their place in the game on a broader scale.

Eventually I hope to have a type of illustrated, football encyclopaedia.

This edition is about Erling Haaland. Previous editions have concentrated on Peter Schmeichel, Thierry Henry and Pep Guardiola.
