A small bit of news
Over the past year or so, writing has become a bigger part of my life. What started as a few slightly scruffy notes on Substack has slowly grown into something I care about a lot. It’s given me a way to step back from the daily rush of service and think a little more clearly about the work, the people, and the strange ecosystem that is the restaurant industry.
Recently, I signed with DML Talent, who will now be representing me across writing, media and speaking.
We’ve been getting to know each other for a while. What I liked immediately was that the conversations weren’t really about “content” or “platforms”. They were about stories, ideas, and the odd, beautiful realities of hospitality. That felt like the right starting point.
None of this changes the centre of gravity. The restaurants are still the work. Service still comes first. But it’s exciting to have a bit of support as I explore where the writing might go.
If you’re reading this, you’ve probably played a part in that already. The messages, replies and conversations that come from this little corner of the internet have meant more than you might realise.
