Make money doing the work you believe in

OK, this is a career first for me: This commenter asked AI to parse one of the claims in my housework essay from today about whether men vs. women are more sensitive to clutter. The AI’s answer was based on a slop version of my research! Six of the nine citations attached to the AI response are articles, reels, or social media posts about a 2010 study I did at UCLA on stress and clutter, but the AI did not read or cite the actual study, and the articles and posts all get critically important details of the study wrong! Therefore, the AI summary is also wrong, but if I weren’t the actual researcher who did this study, I would never know that without reading the actual scientific publication (which, of course, is paywalled, because academic journals are a cartel).

Oy, this is a tough one. I am definitely more impacted by clutter (can't relax and watch TV at night until there is no refuse in my sight line). Jesse feels better when it's gone, but doesn't seem to notice it. We have two boys that we are trying to train to not drop trash, clothes or dirty dishes wherever (11 and 14). I had a messy room…
