Arda Saatçi inspires a huge number of people. Literally millions. Many of them will find their way into running because of him. They saw someone move through something absurdly hard with joy, drama, emotion, exhaustion, humor, and visible belief. Enough inspiration to buy running shoes for the first time.

That is great. It really is and I do not want to talk it down. Arda Saatçi is a running hero for many people. A role model. A source of inspiration.

For me, he is none of these things.
