There’s something happening in the gathering world that we’re not describing correctly. The most important rooms aren’t really events anymore. They don’t live on a calendar, and they don’t reset when they end. People don’t just attend them. They return to them, and over time they start to shape how they think, who they trust, and even how they describe themselves. I started noticing it about fifteen years ago with something called PTTOW that I initially dismissed. Then I began seeing the same pattern across YPO, private clubs, founder groups, corporate event networks, and even inside the best trade shows. This piece is an attempt to map that system, not as a trend, but as something much older and much more human.
