A strategy 'philosophy’: just for fun (or is it?!), here’s a ‘first principles’ motto (following Descartes) for strategy work in organisations: “Cogitamos, decernimus, agimus” (“We think, we decide, we act”). The ‘How?’ is about perspectives, questions and conversations. There’s a ‘strategy journey’ of exploration, sense-making and learning that each organisation takes (and continues to take) - and people are at the heart of this. Keeping it simple and fundamental strips away so much of the strategy ‘hype’ (in my experience).
