One of my favorite photos of 2025, not because of the car or the landscape, but because of the passenger.
The little guy in the passenger seat was my constant companion for a quarter of my life. We went everywhere together, every day. By far, his favorite thing to do was go for a ride in the car, which we did for tens of thousands of miles in his lifetime. He was particularly fond of this car. As he aged, his hearing and eyesight were going, and he had difficulty climbing into the other cars. But not the old 911. He absolutely loved it. Our favorite adventure, taken on rare days when my scheduled allowed it, was to take the winding road to the top of the highest pass in the state. He would anticipate every curve, lean in and look at me while wagging his tail.
My Little Old Man died in October. I miss him very much, which is why I love this photo.
