Today I’d like to pay homage to Mike Ness of Social Distortion and the band's first new album in 15 years, "Born to Kill," released today.
I bought the new album and I was listening to it in the old car with the windows down. A lot of the "new" songs are familiar if you have been seeing the band's live shows for the past few years. Still, it's nice to have them in a downloadable format.
Personally, I like the "bees in a jar" sound of the guitars. They're loud and in the front of the mix. Mike sold me this '57 Gibson Les Paul Junior a few years ago, so I can forgive its absence on the record.
