I just listened to an Eckhart Tolle talk about dealing with middle of the night anxiety/thought frenzy that afflicts so many of us.

Breathing deeply for a sustained period is one of his remedies.

The other, less well-known “cure” is to simply surrender.

By that, Eckhart means that we simply accept everything going on in the moment. The thoughts. The anxious feelings. All of it.

No resisting whatsoever.

That’s the remedy I often choose and it usually works.
