Hello Film Lovers! I hope you enjoyed the Oscars along with the films that were celebrated.

asked me to hang out here for a bit today to talk movies with you all and discuss my story about the surprising comeback of analog film. Although my article is by no means an advocacy piece to ditch your digital cameras and go buy a Bolex, I can’t help but be pleased at the showing that shot-on-film movies had on Sunday night, led by Oppenheimer which won Best Picture, Best Director, and foremost to the point, Best Cinematography. I can’t think of a better conversation starter for this thread than the speech that Oppenheimer's cinematographer Hoyte Van Hoytema gave after accepting his gold statuette. “To all the aspiring filmmakers out there, I would like to say, please try shooting that incredible, new, hip thing called celluloid. It’s much easier than you think and it makes things look so much better.” Strong words! What do you think?
