It’s about damn time. AOC is a hero. She’s one of the best out there, fighting daily against Trump’s fascist bullshit.

sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

When Fruit Loops are recommended as part of the basic diet, then you truly know how deep regulatory capture has gone. It also shows the risk that the administrative state-politicians-corporate regulatory influence has to lose. Entire swaths of food, drug, medical equipment and services will be wiped out if we eat healthy. This is indeed a big battle for consumer pocket books but one that I believe we can win by simply walking away just as viewers have walked away from CNN etc. Double entendre: …

Convenience is a big issue re: food. Same with technology. "I just want it easy, fast, and now." Few look beneath the hood - how it got there.

Yes, agreed!! But, if govt gets in the advertising game and connects the beneficial impact of exercise and natural food (not necessarily organic food) vs the outcome of processed foods, people will choose health over poison and convenience. In 10yrs we could lower health care costs by more then 50%. More money in your pocket would be a big incentive.

You have to include lack of exercise and physical activity. Do away with TV, VIDEO games, I Phones, etc, etc. But this down hill movement started with mom's out in the workplace instead of being at home. Dads being reduced to no value except to make babies for more welfare. This is much, much deeper than chemicals and junk in our foods. Get to the basics of it instead of scratching the surface.
