Designing The Warrior: Four Figures, One Ancient Man.
The Warrior is not complicated the way a new character is complicated. His complications run in a different direction. He is old. He has been everything a man can be, in more than one civilization, across more centuries than most people's imagination can hold. So when it came time to figure out what he looks like, the question wasn't just aesthetic. It was about containment. How do you put something that large inside a human silhouette?
This week I want to walk you through the foundational design session we ran for The Warrior. We called it a Tension Sequence. Not four options. Four states. The goal wasn't to pick one direction and run with it. It was to map the full range of his visual identity, from most human to most cosmic, and understand what holds it together.
