No one really, really knows.

I have withheld my annual “default movie” designation all season because I haven’t completely felt it. A Complete Unknown has been my frontrunner… but somehow, it hasn’t felt to me like a real default. Of the last 10 winners, 5 have been the film I thought of as the “default.”

So maybe Anora is the actual default movie this year.
