I am getting edgier as time goes by and willing to go where my younger self was definitely shy to go. So many real, 'edge' experiences that also thread through the very core of human life are addressed through euphemism or words inadequate to the deeply physical states involved in our being here, our being alive and being subject to the raw vulnerabilities involved in even the most humdrum life. The work of the poet is creating language equal to our bodily experience and the world it inhabits. DW
